The full schedule of Martijn’s 2026/2027 season has just been released and can be viewed on the schedule page.

This season will mark his debuts with the Essener Philharmoniker, in the theatres of Piacenza and Modena, at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, alongside his chief conductor commitments at the Hofer Symphoniker and Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen.

Martijn welcomes internationally acclaimed soloists Herbert Schuch, Ian Bostridge, Sara Ferrández and Vivi Vassileva to the Hofer Symphoniker’s main season. In addition, Czech violinist Josef Špaček will be Focus Artist and perform the Tchaikovsky and Hindemith violin concertos. The repertoire includes Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances as well as Schumann’s Symphony No. 2 and Elgar’s Enigma Variations.

Joining Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen are pianists Elisabeth Brauss and Cedric Tiberghien, as well as cellist Ivan Karizna. Duo ART’uur will perform the new double concerto by the late Wim Henderickx. Martijn will lead the orchestra in Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique, Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 and continuing the Mendelssohn Cycle with Symphony No. 4.
